Brilliant at the Basics:

4-Week Virtual Cohort

It's all about ownership, vision, contact work, and reaching more kids!

Over 600 staff and volunteers have completed this course so far this summer and you could be next!

All Staff, Volunteers, and Committee Welcome!

What: Over the past two years, dozens of regions have formed Brilliant at the Basics Cohorts, traveling to Dallas for a 24 hour time with Brian Summerall, and now we are offering this training on-line! It’s all about getting back to the basics of Young Life and forming a practical strategy for reaching more kids in your area. Once a week we will breakdown the Ministry Strategy training on Young Life Access to its core essentials and then build it back up to what it will look like in the context of your area. Your Area/Region/Division or just you can be a part of a virtual Brilliant at the Basics cohort over four weeks on this weekly 90-minute interactive Zoom session.

How:  To participate, you’ll click the registration button below and will be sent your Webinar Pre-Work via email. There will be homework on Young Life Access after each one hour session that you can easily finish during the week.

When:  The Webinar will take place starting Wednesday, August 5 at 2:00PM CT. Because we will be wanting live participation and feedback in these webinars, we will not be releasing all four recordings to any and all staff. If you have to miss a meeting we will work with you on getting you the recordiing of that individual session.

126 kids at our first Club on Monday night! The typical number at that club was about 60 or 70. We’ve loved exploring and developing this strategy and I’m grateful for all you’ve done to help others believe in bigger ways.”
— Cohort Area Director
The average number of growth for everyone’s first club was up 41% and has been up 34% across the board through the Fall from the year before.
— Regional Cohort Leader
My staff always call me before R1 and say, ‘Brad, you’ve got to help us drop spots!’ This year (2019) they called and said ‘Brad, you’ve got to help us get more spots!!!’
